I am programming a game in 2d and moving a player around. Given a set of latitude and longitude points, how can i calculate the latitude and longitude of the center point of that set (aka a point that would center a view on all points)?. I am trying to draw a dot in bounding box that will represent the center point of that box.

I am trying to move an ellipse around inside of a custom control, and i care about it's center point so i am using ellipsegeometry inside of a path instead of using ellipse on its own. Suppose you have an arbitrary closed curve (endpoint returns relatively close to first point) generated through a bunch of dataset coordinates, how do you find the centerpoint. I need to find a point that is a visual center of an irregularly shaped polygon.
I have written the below code to find the centerpoint, but i am not sure if it does actually produce the centerpoint.
In the above example, i'd search the program output for centerpoint to see if there are any binding errors. This code moves window to center on general screen, not active screen: By visual center, i mean a point that appears to be in the center of a large area of the polygon visually. I'm using the centroid of polygons to attach a marker in a map application.
This works definitely fine for convex polygons and quite good for many concave polygons. Import sys from pyqt4 import qtgui class. Otherwise, it's sounds like it would make a good question on its. How i can center window on active screen but not on general screen?
What if the polygon has 5 points instead of 4?
As i move the player around i am trying to calculate the point on. I have computed the center point but it is only outputted in cmd and i wont this point. It's been 10 years since i did any math like this.
